1. Grant Research Volunteer
Would you like to help a local, non-profit, charitable organization that helps inner-city youth in Camden from the convenience of your own home?  Then, consider becoming a Grant Research Volunteer for Hopeworks!

Researches emerging grant possibilities with corporations and foundations via the internet.  The volunteer will make general inquiries from their home to acquire the needed information, e.g., name of organization, what is their funding focus,

what are their grant guidelines, who is the person responsible, what is their phone number and address, etc.

Volunteer needs to commit to a minimum of six hours a month to work on grant research, participate in a weekly grant meeting either in person (in Camden) or via the telephone, as well as attend the annual Hopeworks Dinner Celebration.

2. Funding Development Volunteer
Do you want to play a significant role in the Hopeworks community by developing contacts so Hopeworks may continue to provide services to youths?  If so, you should become a Funding Development Volunteer! 

Develops contacts for Hopeworks who will provide business and/or introduce corporate sponsors to the program.

Volunteer needs to attend bi-monthly Development Committee Meetings and the annual Hopeworks Dinner Celebration.

3. Literacy Volunteer
Want to make a substantial impact in the lives of Camden’s youth?  Do you enjoy working one on one with youths to help them improve their literacy and
math skills?  If so, apply to become a literacy volunteer today!

Work one on one or in a small group setting with trainees on reading, writing, and mathematic skills.

Must be available for a minimum of one hour once a week.

4. E-Mentoring
Do you want to give back to the community?  Or reach out to the youth to help them understand more about themselves?  Or motivate and encourage youth to pursue their education?  Then become an E-Mentor!

An opportunity to connect with the trainees at Hopeworks.  A volunteer must develop and maintain a relationship with a trainee by emailing twice a week.
A mentoring relationship generally requires only the time to compose a thought-provoking e-mail or an engaged response to the questions asked by the trainee; probably 10-15 minutes a week.

5. Fundraising
Do you want help, but volunteering isn't your interest? Or would you like to help raise money for our nonprofit?  Or simply help others raise funds?  Then participate in our fundraising campaign!
