Our Staff
Hopeworks' fundamental purpose is youth development. To achieve that end, we have a talented staff that oversees both our training and business services. With this talented staff, we are able to assure that customers receive a quality product produced by Camden youth. Clients receive first-class attention and quality products while youth obtain valuable skills and experience. Through the combined efforts of all, Hopeworks is helping to make a concrete, hope-filled difference in the lives of many.

Father Jeff Putthoff, SJ - Executive Director
I am a Jesuit priest who has worked and lived in Camden, NJ for over 9 years. I am tremendously hopeful for our youth here in Camden and grateful for the opportunity to work with them.

Sean Dougherty - Director of Operations
I am excited to be here at Hopeworks after spending the last 15 years as a partner in a video production business in Philadelphia. I hope to bring some more video production opportunities to our youth and to our clients. Sabrina Gomez - Lead Trainer and HTS Coordinator
I graduated from high school in 2004 and am a licensed cosmetologist. I am also attending Camden County College to earn a degree in computer information systems. I have been involved with Hopeworks for almost a year and a half now. I am the Lead Trainer and the HTS coordinator. I enjoy being able to work with the youth to help them in reaching their goals and not giving up. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me and the youth at Hopeworks.

Patrick Keenan - Formation Director
I consider myself blessed to support the youth here. For two years prior to coming to Hopeworks, I lived in Kensington, a neighborhood in North Philadelphia, working with disadvantaged persons and families on issues relating to urban poverty. Additionally, I have five years of experience mentoring youth in the juvenile justice system. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in political science from St. Bonaventure University and am originally from Western New York. |

Tarren Anderson - GIS Director
Hi, I'm Tarren Anderson. I am from Minnesota, now living in Delaware. I have Degrees in computer science and GIS. Hopeworks is an interesting and exciting place where i get to blend my GIS and web skills together.

Steve Bozzone - Web Director
I am thrilled to continue my experience with youth development here at Hopeworks. After moving to Philadelphia from Bronx, New York in 2005, I spent the last three years working with youth in North Philadelphia, facilitating the production of a community newspaper, podcasts and original music created by youth. My passion lies in helping youth empower themselves to create a better world. I also own and operate a recording studio in Kensington, and play in several bands.

Rachel Burns - Jesuit Volunteer
I am originally from Woodstock, Illinois, a Northwest suburb of Chicago. I graduated in May from the University of Kansas with a BA in communication studies and a minor in leadership studies. I am excited to be a member of the Hopeworks community. I am looking forward to dedicating a year to helping others and learning from the youths of Camden and the community at Hopeworks.

Shawn Mack- Literacy Director
A native of Lawnside, New Jersey, I am excited about returning to the New Jersey area after teaching in Baltimore, Maryland and Atlanta, Georgia for the past ten years. More importantly, I am pleased to be working with the staff and youth in the Hopeworks Program. As the Director of Literacy, it is my hope to inspire youth to reach academic goals that will ensure a promising future.
